Testimony at the human rights inquiry on PNG I was told I came illegally by boat, the man said. I was told I breached the law in Australia. The man is the fifth asylum seeker to testify before Justice David Cannings inquiry into the centres human rights obligations. The man said he told International Organisation for Migration officials he wanted to go back to Myanmar because he was suffering, but the request was refused because of the risk to his life. Rohingya people are persecuted and stateless in Myanmar, he said.
