Testimony from a volunteer: A few years ago, when our oldest child was small, I met other families with young children. At the time, my walk with God was not strong and I was new to town. Two young boys were on the same sports team as our kids, and it was clear that their family did not know the Lord. God strongly impressed on my heart to pray for those boys. Fast forward four years. After much heartache, God had drawn our family back to himself. I was now volunteering at Slingshot Saturday with one of the couples I met when our children were babies, a couple who is on fire for God and passionate about reaching children for Christ. They invited their neighbour to Slingshot. Their neighbour is one of the boys God has had me pray for all these years! Tough at first, guarding his heart, this child gave his heart to the Lord. I have watched him sing praises to God with enthusiasm, abandon even. I cannot begin to express my awe, not only at the grandness and perfection of Gods ways, .... I thank God for using CEF and the ministry of Slingshot Saturdays to bring about his will of drawing children to himself. We serve an awesome God!
