Testimony time: So yesterday I had a really bad day for some personal reasons. And i felt so broken down. This morning I still felt the same and i prayed on the way to work in the most earnest way that i could. I turned on one of my worship stations in my office to get my mind off of my issues, and a song comes on called Come to Me. Its written in first person and the first lines are: I am the Lord your God, I go before you now I stand beside you, I’m all around you Though you feel I’m far away, I’m closer than your breath I am with you, more than you know I am the Lord your peace, no evil will conquer you Steady now your heart and mind, come into My rest Oh, let your faith arise, lift up your weary head I am with you wherever you go And I found myself crying because God was telling me to come to Him because He is all I need and I found assurance in knowing He was closer than my breath. And by the end of the day I was smiling. What Im going through is pretty tough for me and I know people have it more rough than I do. But in my moments of weakness, He reveals His gentleness and strength. God assured me today that He is all i need and where I am lacking, He is overflowing. It may be a while before I get through this but His peace transcends all understanding. After you cry, things look better in the morning. Going through this, I dont know what i would be without God. So if you are hurting today, and you dont know Jesus, once you accept Him He will show you that He is closer to you than your own breath. And that kind of peace only comes through Him.
