Testing out the Ovilus last night was interesting for various reasons which I’ll elaborate on, but I need to explain aspects of the location I visited. For many years (5+) I’ve been visited this isolated location, often solo and at times accompanied by mediums for various reasons. With each visit (especially with the mediums) I’ve learned more about this location and its complicated (to me) dynamics. When I enter this site you’re entering an active spirit community for those who understand simultaneous time. During my recent visit with a medium months back, she stated that we are dropped into their time period within their community with spirits moving about; as if, for example you’re dropped into down town Seattle during a different decade. Yes, to some of the folks we look different if they can perceive us (if they have the ability) and have commented on our clothing, especially woman wearing pants. According to various mediums, there is a set of elders who guard over this community or as they (spirits) termed it - their sanctuary. Years ago I was in the old mindset that onsite deaths were linked to the presence of spirits present, but that isn’t that case here……or at most sites. Numerous mediums have interacted with various spirits that stated there is a high volume of spirit visitation. Combine that with simultaneous time and for me the dynamics get complicated. The EMF reading were “0” according to the EMF Mel Meter (digital readout) through my entire visit. I was the only person at 10 pm and my cell phone was off and in the truck. When I got to my favorite part of this community I started to explain the device because based on insight most of the spirits have a knowledge structure set in the early 1900’s. Stating that their energy will activate the device was straightforward, but indicating that their energy level will correspond to a specific word was puzzling to explain. How to they see the word list? Is there trial and error? Would there be frustration from them on failed attempts? How to I validate and understand the words? The device did activate with minutes between words, but I did known how to interpret any of this. I asked for them to repeat a word I selected and that didn’t happen. Maybe my EVPs will shed some light on the process. Maybe there are “key” words to describe this device and general operation I didn’t effectively explain? I did feel the presence of spirits around me and see various shadows pass before me. Whispers and faint voices also got my attention reinforces their presence near me. Funny, while standing there physically alone in the dark woods (eyes adjusted so flashlights aren’t needed) I didn’t feel alone. WSGS purchased this device to provide better correlation with the medium’s impressions in conjunction with EVP messages during investigations. With two investigations in July, we’ll better understand a spirit’s perspective of this device, its usefulness and hopefully those “key” words to best explain how to interact with it. (Dave)
