Tetouan, and the region are amazing. I am loving this place! Spain is a 30 min drive WEST, but 2 hours ahead of where I am. I drove across the border hoping to find a grocery store where I could buy some food since the local supermarket (and EVERY other store) was closed for the breaking of the Fast (Maghrib - Iftar) all the way to Sebta (Ceuta). The international border between Spain and Morocco was DESERTED! Crossing the border took only as long as it took me to fill in the customs form. Unfortunately, with the time zone difference I got there too late to shop. After driving around Sebta (Ceuta) for an hour, I headed for home and my Marjane which had reopened by the time I got there. Places to visit - Asilah (a must), Chefchouaen (a must), and I liked Tangier too (which was totally different from the other two).
