Texas Getting Rid of Inspections Stickers Some changes are coming for Texas drivers. Starting March 1st you will no longer be issued an inspection sticker. You will only have your registration sticker on your windshield. Your registration sticker will serve as a combined proof of registration and inspection. All cars will have just one sticker with one expiration date. Getting an inspection will be a requirement for you to renew your registration. They hope that with this new change they can help eliminate some of the illegal stickers out on the road The only thing you will get when you inspect your vehicle is an inspection report. They will print out an inspection sheet and you will keep that inspection sheet as a paper back up. This will not affect the price of the inspection.
