Texas company, in a 6-month $125,000 study, are developing a 3-D printer which will explore the possibility of being able to print meals for various long duration space missions. And now they are even trying to print pizza. The printer will start by creating a sheet of dough, followed by a layer of tomato sauce, which will consist of the powder mixed with water and oil. Instead of traditional toppings on the pizza, the 3D-printed one will be topped with a layer of protein (derived from milk, plants, or animals).
