Tha Local Government Unit recently conducted Training on Product Development for Squash Noodles at the Esparar Multi Purpose Cooperative (EMPC) funded by the Department of Trade and Industry under the Grassroots Participatory Budgeting Projects (GPBP) formerly known as the Bottom-Up-Budgeting (BuB). The resource speaker for the said training were Dr. Violeta Salda and Cristine Esnara from Benguet State University, La Trinidad Benguet. EMPC is known in producing Squash Canton fortified with vegetables with a variant of Malunggay, Squash and Saluyot. After this training EMPC is expected to produce new product lines. Hoping to manufacture INSTANT NOODLES, COOKIES, CUPCAKES etc. fortified with vegetables.
