Thailand: Still on GMO... Jessada Denduangboripant, a prominent lecturer at Chulalongkorn Universitys Faculty of Science voicing support for GMO? Who is still seriously supporting GMO? nationmultimedia/national/Govt-to-study-genetically-modified-crops-despite-o-30248795.html There is absolutely no logic in wasting time, money, and resources, tangling up already vulnerable farmers in debt and useless crops infected with genetic contamination no informed consumer will buy. Maybe Jessada needs to read up on superweeds and superpests now immune to GMO frankencrops rendered ineffective. So in addition to being poisoned and patented, they are also USELESS. As in the West, the only people still supporting GMO are those who are getting paid directly by big-agri corporations to promote their poison. Just like big-pharmaceutical giants like GSK maintain immense multi-billion dollar bribery networks, so too do the big-agri corporations. I suspect people in the Ministry of Agriculture as well as university professors have been approached and clearly compromised to still be promoting GMO at this late stage in the game. If you see someone promoting GMO, call them out, protest against them, demand to know their affiliations, and shut them down. To ensure absolute failure, fill up Thailands food and agricultural markets with organic products. Invest in farmers growing organic and help those who havent yet make the transition. Large corporations both foreign and domestic need to be boycotted. This is war for your health and your future. The socioeconomic devastation those promoting GMO today are sowing will sprout into yet another round of predatory populists using destitute farmers and class warfare as a weapon against the rest of the country tomorrow. Think a few steps ahead and stop this before it gets to that point. Either we stop it and everyone wins, or we dont and we continue to collectively lose.
