Thank God For His Longsuffering 2 Peter 3:9 Longsuffering is defined as Bearing injuries or provocation for a long time; patient; not easily provoked. We need to praise God for allowing us that opportunity, not just to hear the word, but for the grace of His patience to respond to that very same word. Not one of us would be entering the Kingdom of God if the Lord was not patient with us. God is patient with us, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. You see, it is God’s will that ALL ARE SAVED and come to knowledge of Christ. God suffers long with man, attempting to bring us to a place of repentance. We as human will give up as soon as were faced with difficulties. Thank God for His longsuffering and were so grateful He hasnt given up on us inspite of our shortcomings. God promised Abraham he would be the Father of many nations. Finally when Abraham was 100 and Sarah was 90 years old God gave them their son Isaac. Though it took years of patiently waiting, they received the promise of God. Abraham says, And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.” I come to let you know whatever the task is that God has called us to, we need to continue doing the work even if we don’t see the progress we would like to see. Even Jesus was teaching His disciples until the moment of His death. Jesus is an example of patience for us and we should be example for him. Thank God for His Longsuffering. Be blessed and I love you!!! JE
