Thank You From Barbara Womack, Michelle Light & Family, Michael Womack & Family Thanks to all of you. All of you have been so nice in such a thoughtful way, it’s hard to find a way to thank each one of you today… But hopefully this special card will show, at least in part, the many warm and grateful thoughts this brings straight from the heart. Thank you all for your prayers and support during Ron’s journey. God bless you all. From Jana Hall In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I would like to share my gratefulness for this church and all you have blessed me with during my recent surgery & (winning!) battle with cancer. First, to the church leadership: Thank you so much for the understanding and generosity you have shown to me during my many absences from work. It was a huge blessing for me. To the JCCC staff: You may be the best group of humans on the planet. You did my job for me when I wasn’t there (in addition to your own) and showered me with blessings too numerous to count. I thank God every day for you all and realize how lucky I am to work with such wonderful people. To the church body: Thank you so much for all you did to make this decidedly yucky journey bearable. You blessed Chip & I with so much food, probably hundreds of prayer cards, emails, text messages, and most importantly, with your prayers. We could not ask for a better church family than you. We love you all! Thank you all & Happy Thanksgiving! Christmas in Jefferson County JCCC has again been contacted by “Christmas in Jefferson County” requesting that our congregation collect jars of peanut butter for the gift boxes they give out. We have been given a goal of 125 jars for this year, and are still about 25 jars short. So next time you go to the store, think about picking up an extra jar or two of peanut butter. We’ll have a collection box behind the Information Desk in the lobby where you can place your jars. The last day for collecting peanut butter is this Sunday, November 30. Annual Meeting If you are a member of JCCC then we ask that you take a moment to prayerfully consider our leadership for the upcoming year. Our Annual meeting, where we will vote on 2015 leadership and budget, is scheduled for Sunday morning, December 7. There will also be absentee ballots available on the Welcome Desk in the church lobby starting November 30. The Parkers Please keep Phil, Michelle, Nathanael, Hannah, and all of their ministry partners in your prayers. If you would like to send them a Christmas card, you can place it in the box on the lectern in front of the mission bulletin board. It will be mailed with others. Current airmail postage to Thailand for a one-ounce greeting card is $1.15. If you would like to send your card directly to the family, please use the following address: The Parker Family P.O. Box 11 Chiang Mai 50000 THAILAND Wednesday Nights for KidsWay Our KidsWay classes are taking a break for the holidays and will start again on January 7. Starting Sunday, we will begin taking orders for 2 weeks for these poinsettias. They are $7.00 each and we will place them on the stage on December 14 and they may be taken home after the 2nd service on December 21. Look for an order form in the bulletin on Sunday. Pecans for Sale We have this year’s crop of XL pecan pieces available for purchase each Sunday at the Welcome Desk in the lobby. They are $10 per pound and proceeds from the sale will go toward helping to restock our food pantry. Heartweavers Ornament Exchange All ladies are invited to attend an ornament exchange on Thursday, December 4 from 6-8pm at the home of Tishia Igou. You may sign up by responding to this email if you plan to attend. Please bring a gift wrapped ornament to exchange and a snack to share. Food Pantry As the weather turns colder, our food pantry is utilized more and more. If you can make a food or monetary donation, it would be greatly appreciated. You may place any food donations to the right on the shelf inside the pantry in room 206. The Rescue Ministries: Christmas Catalog The Rescue Ministries is a non-profit organization that was established in 2009 after a mission team visited the Philippines and saw the need to rescue children from a life in the trash. This year, they are offering you the opportunity to partner with them by giving gifts provided in their Christmas Gift Catalog. These catalogs are available on the Welcome Desk in the church lobby and we invite everyone to pick one up and choose to give a gift in honor of a teacher, family member or any loved one. Order forms are available inside the catalog and if you have any questions feel free to visit the website at therescueministries.org or call 865.919.8498. Parking and Security Team JCCC ministry on Sunday begins the moment someone drives into the parking lot, and that ministry begins with the Parking Lot and Security Team. Currently, this team needs three more members. Anyone age eighteen and older may join. By signing up on the back of your Connection Card, you’ll receive additional information to help you make a decision whether or not to join this team. (Yes, you will get to wear the neon vest and walkie talkie!)
