Thank You Mr.Mutabazi!!! TO HELL WITH DEMOCRACY THAT DOESNT TRANSFORM THE LIVES OF UGANDANS. Yesterday evening, I watched the Chairman of Lwengo District, Mr. George Mutabazi both on NTV and Bukedde TV forcefully ordering Residents of Lwengo District to participate in community work and actually those who had spent a night drinking were shown on TV being cained by the Chairman. To me those are the leaders Uganda we need now not these useless MPs whose main focus is on how to win the next Election but not transforming Ugandans. NB: When an MP wins an Election, his life changes life right away and his immediate relatives but not the people he represent. For the last 28 years, every after 5 years, Ugandans participate in electing Leaders from LC1 to the President. If democracy honestly transforms the lives of people, why is that we have pathetic roads, hospitals, schools etc. To me every Election in Uganda empowers a few elected officials at the expense of ignorant Ugandans. Compare India with China, India is a Democrat, China is Authoriatarian, Authoriatarian leaders feel that there legitimacy depends to the large extent of addressing the concerns of its Citizens and Democracy serves to enhance the power and privileges of a small group of influence elites, always at the expense of the poor majority. Why would sane people refuse to participate in any activity that serves them? This is not the Uganda I grew up seeing, this is not the Uganda we should hand over to our Children. Uganda has never been about what can be done for us but its about what has been done by us together. WHAT ARE YOUR VIEWS? #SisimukaUganda #ChangingTheirMindset, BelievingInThemselves
