Thank You for you support!!! Where to start? First and - TopicsExpress

Thank You for you support!!! Where to start? First and foremost thanks to Chris and Rachael for always understanding my dedication to the town I love. And to Max for having a great bladder when I am the only one home! When you work for the town you become the face of the town because you have to be accessible to your constituents. That might mean being stopped on the street on the way to dinner at one of our great restaurants, fielding phone calls from concerned citizens, or responding to texts at all hours to report a water leak or someone needing an officer for keys locked in a car. I was approached by Sue Kennedy offering to help me write a flyer for my campaign, which we did. Due to work (clients & town business) I needed help distributing the flyers. I was contacted by Clyde Benjamin Ford and Chris Stroech, and together with Chris Crawford, we handed out, and talked to many people. I decided, against some advice, to not do yard signs. I personally find them obnoxious and my flyers could go right in the recycling bins. Jennifer Haynes, her sister Jackie, her brother Chris, and her mom, Judy Shepherd are the bomb! They put a huge sign on their front door and wrote my name on their car windows where they parked them on German Street for all to see! I didn’t ask them to do that, they just did it. To Nancy Strine and Jack Lantzy – thank you so much! To Specialty Business Supplies for the fast printing – so convienent you’re across the street from my house! To Vu Ngo, Neal Martineau, Elizabeth McGowen Freedland, Jenny Haynes, and Wendy Lee Maddox who letters of support to the Chronicle. To all of you who posted support on my page and yours encouraging others to vote. There are so many of you so thank you! Thanks for everyone that came out to vote Tuesday. I had some very loyal supporters who advocated for me behind the scenes – you know who you are-thank you! Election day was crazy for me. As recorder I have to run the election, so it was an EARLY (4am) start that ended with locking up town hall at 9:45pm. I had an absolute blast at the Meck afterward where Chris was playing, for a victory party as John Meeker called it. I am humbled by the support and I look forward to serving another 2 years as your Recorder. I look forward to working with the Mayor, town council (with the addition of Jim Ford-again), Frank Welch & the guys, Amy Boyd & staff, and Chief Ransom and wonderful officers. I was telling Chris that when you put in a lot of hours to help make the town a better place to live and raise your kids, you hope that in times of an opposed election, that people have noticed at some point along the way. You did, and I thank you for it. Lori
