Thank these NORTH CAROLINA legislators for NOT allowing a bad bill - TopicsExpress

Thank these NORTH CAROLINA legislators for NOT allowing a bad bill to go forward. From AKC: July 30, 2013 The North Carolina Senate adjourned last week for the year without taking action on House Bill 930. This bill, which passed the House, would establish an arbitrary definition of commercial dog breeder based solely on the number of dogs a person owns and actually make it more difficult for law enforcement to address animal cruelty. The AKC strongly believes that cruelty regulations should apply to ALL dogs, and that commercial activity should not be defined solely based on property ownership. Please take a moment to contact Senator Brent Jackson and Senator Andrew Brock, co-chairmen of the Senate Agriculture, Environment and Natural Resources Committee, and Rules and Operations of the Senate Committee Chairman Tom Apodaca. Thank them for not allowing House Bill 930 to advance in the Senate this session. Senator Tom Apodaca Phone: (919) 733-5745 E-mail: [email protected] Senator Andrew Brock Phone: (919) 715-0690 E-mail: [email protected] Senator Brent Jackson Phone: (919) 733-5705 E-mail: [email protected] The North Carolina General Assembly is adjourned until May 2014, and this bill is currently still assigned to the Senate Agriculture Committee.
