Thank you ALL for your support. The negative comments that were made to me by a few people yesterday, about Willys and Rosies puppies, were actually quite upsetting. You all made it much better with your supportive comments. Just because we CAN write negative comments (theoretically) on other peoples walls doesnt mean we should. And some things should always be off limits -- peoples families, their spouses and mates, their children, and their beloved dogs, and cats, and pets. I didnt ask for an open discussion, yesterday, on what people think about responsible purebred dog breeding. I merely announced a joyous event -- that Willys and Rosies puppies had been born. And so, to have then been publicly criticized about contributing to animal overpopulation, and hit for not adopting shelter dogs, was very painful to me. (Especially considering the huge amount of money David and I have raised and contributed over the years TO animal shelters.) A person doesnt have to be a rocket science to look at my own wall, and realize how much our golden retrievers mean to us, how our dogs are like children to us, and how much joy we have taken in helping others share that joy . . . and how much, at the same time, we care about all animals. SO really, there should be a Ten Commandments for facebook. One of them should definitely be Thou shalt not judge thy friends spouse, nor their children, nor their dog, nor their cat, nor their horse nor their hamster. Another one should be Judge not, lest ye shall be blocked. And I used the block button several times yesterday. Everybody has a right to their opinion . . . even on this topic. But there are times that people need to keep their opinions to themselves. Anyway, thank you all! xoxo
