Thank you Cardinal Burke. You are such a standout servant of the truth! It is most befitting here, that such an articulate and eloquent learned prelate keeps standing up for what Catholics for century after century have been raised to believe...exactly what he the Cardinal said here . Now across the spectrum , fundamental aspects as to what underpins both marriage and family life are now being both canvassed and challenged... But, the Church has to stand resolutely firm . The portents are clear.. It would be most unedifying, if not rather disconcerting to see adoption of a gradualist approach ... A watering down of the Church teachings ! No no no , the inherent risks and ramifications of such a backward step may be far too overreaching . Subsequently this move to by either language or any other actions, to degrade or diminish the Church teachings must cessate immediately before things may spiral onwards to a trajectory of abject confusion and disillusionment . The sound and entrenched teachings of the Church are not ever something to be trifled with nor debunked whenever it suits the inclinations of some ! Rather enduring respect for time honored teachings must be guaranteed. If the Church want to hold onto its faithful and gather new faithful the Church has to play its part and keep reinforcing the sound teachings as articulated by the Cardinal here, teachings that Catholics have both abided by and respected for such a long time.
