Thank you Celina. I appreciate you. I struggle with creative writing. I complete my writing assignments, but my writing is weak because I grew up in the hood and ebonics was the language used in the neighborhoods. A normal student would take a couple of hours to write a paper, for me it takes six hours. I have to spend most of my time tackling every sentence by repeating the sentence to myself to the terms of how I would portray a white person would speak to me in conversation. lol. Its times like this, I regret not taking the time to embrace my education when I was young. Little Celina (19), ripped my paper apart, broke it down and revised it. She explained to me the importance how creative writing plays a major part in telling a story. Little Latina can write her ass off! (this sentence is what we call ebonics, I lost myself). They understand my struggle with writing. I am not embarrassed about it. I regret not being able to speak as well as everyone else. I hope as time goes on I will be able to speak and write as well as others. Practice makes perfect. Shout out to Celina. You are a blessing.
