Thank you Charley for giving me the Number 13!!! 13 Things not everyone knows about me - 1. When I was a little girl you could go downtown around Easter and they would sell you baby chicks at the hatchery for like a nickel. Well I got one. I brought it home and had it in a box in my room by my bed but it wouldnt quit chirping so I thought it wanted to sleep with me so I brought it in bed with me and during the night I must have rolled over on it because in the morning it wasnt chirping anymore... 2. Another little kid story... I dont remember how old I was but I decided at dinner one night to see if a lima bean would fit up my nose. Took a trip to the doctor to get it out... 3. When I started as a freshman at UNL my major was Pre-Med 4. I have a 3 x 4 charcoal portrait of Cat Stevens that I did in College hanging in my basement stairway. 5. When I was in High School I made a couch as my Home Ec. sewing class project (and I got an A) 6. I have been approximately 50 miles north of the arctic circle in January and walked to work (about a block and a half) when it was 60 below zero 7. In college when we arrived at a polka hall outside of Lincoln somewhere shortly before last call My friends and I ordered a pitcher of beer and as soon as it arrived at our table the waitress said sorry I am going to have to take that if it isnt gone by the time I get back well each of my friends put a glass in their purse and I put the entire full pitcher of beer in mine (yes I have always carried REALLY big purses) we proceeded to the parking lot and drank our beer in someones car... 8. Charley, Rick and several other of my FB friends are going to LOVE this one I once was a card carrying member of TARs (Teenage Republicans) 9. I once drove from Durango to just outside of Telluride Colorado on a designated Jeep Trail in a Taurus... 10. I know how to Kick Box, have a punching bag in my basement and also am quite good at Rollerblading 11. I made three payments of $50 each for my first car and yes it was a VW Bug 12. December 30th, 2013 I will have been married for 35 years 13. When I was in 3rd grade, one of my school art class paintings won an award and was part of an art show in Lincoln at Miller & Payne
