Thank you Father for waking me up this morning and letting me see another day! Todays scripture comes from Romans (not one of my easiest books) Paul tells us, For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Romans 12:4-5 NKJV..see that last phrase, ??? Im hearing crickets..Holy Spirit help me out here! Please..Father early in your word you tell us that our people perish because of lack of knowledge...so when it comes to your word I want to know and understand as much as can about my creator and the will he has for my life! My life application bible states that, Paul uses the concept of the human body to teach how Christians should live and work together. Just as parts of the body function under the direction of the brain, so Christians are to work TOGETHER under the command and authority of Jesus Christ. Okay now this is what I taking from that, while we are individuals, we each have different functions, gifts and talents and but only ONE goal...to build this membership AKA Gods Kingdom. Father God, again thank you for your word! Father, help me in my effort to be slow to speak, quick to listen, and eager to give the benefit of the doubt to others. I often jump to conclusions that are wrong because of my own past experience and lack of understanding. PLEASE SIR HAVE MERCY! Father God as I look around me lately, there is sickness, death, hatred, violence...etc. Help me to keep my eyes on the prize! Please GOD, Give me an understanding heart, a forgiving attitude, and a discerning spirit so that I can be a valuable participant in Your membership drive....In the mighty, matchless name of Jesus Christ!
