Thank you Ginny Grivas for supporting the No Red Hill Water - TopicsExpress

Thank you Ginny Grivas for supporting the No Red Hill Water Towers Coalition in our opposition to Loudoun Waters proposed 189 water towers on Red Hill Road, on the border of the Rural zone. They will be 43 taller than the Brambleton water towers and the tallest towers in Loudoun Waters system! The Planning Commission approved the special exception application and now the Board of Supervisors will have the final vote. The Board of Supervisors hearing is on September 10th at 6pm and this is the final chance for the public to provide input. The Red Hill Road community is a small rural neighborhood established in the 1950s and we are all on wells. Both ends of Red Hill Road are in the Rural zone and 70% of the homes off Red Hill Rd are in the Rural zone. We do not understand why our community is even being considered for the water storage needed for growth in the Transition zone. This does not make sense. Each water tower will hold 1 million gallons of water and serve 4,800 homes. Loudoun Water wants the first tower online in 2016 and has asked for fifteen years to build the second water tower. The timing for the 2nd water tower will depend on the growth in the Transition zone. We hope you can help us spread the word. Please sign our online petition on our website: noredhillwatertowers.org, email the Board of Supervisors and if you are can, attend the hearing on September 10th and WEAR RED!!! We need to let Loudoun Water and the Board of Supervisors know that this is the wrong location!
