Thank you, Jesus, for the rain we need so desperately. And thanks to my wonderful friend, Jerry Riggins, husband of Nancy Bains Riggins, who helped me complete the roof over my last horse pen this week so that all my horses would have shelter in such a storm. Horse are a lot like people, they can be absolutely mind blowing in their unexpected moments of brilliance and they can be, well, now you know where the term horsess ass came from. With one shelter big enough for all of them, the alpha mare and her gelding barn buddy kept the others from enjoying the protection from the elements. But now with three good covered pens all have their own little shelter and that is really important with half dollar and larger size hail like Coleman County had tonight. Hope Jeff Gore was able to shelter his new horse, Roy!.. If not, Donna Simmons Gore, you gotta let us know so we can help build one cause I know Jeff wont ask for help from human hands...and I sure would hate for Roy to be hurt or worse.
