Thank you Karen for sharing your play time with us. Imaginary play is one of the most valuable play experiences children can have. Try to create a play home corner in your house which stays all year round. Change about the themes, shop this month, house next month, hospitals, vets etc. Try to extend your childs learning all the time by introducing new things to the play. In shops you can have different types of shops, have contrary customers, talk about money, maths, saving up. The list is endless. Imaginary play helps your child understand the world they live in. When they bore with a game, try to add new components to it and then move on. Explore what interests your child has and take their lead. Well done Karen for playing so well and I am sure you had the best fun over the weekend and feel really connected to your child as a result.
