Thank you Lord for putting me in check this evening. For opening my eyes along with my heart and allowing me to see beyond this self centered funk I have been wandering around in the past few weeks. Thank you for your mercy, grace, promises, faithfulness, love and the abundant blessings in my life. just got home around an hour ago after working all day and had an elderly gentleman come and ring my bell not less than 10 min after I arrived home. He asked me if I needed any yard work done and quite frankly, it annoyed the crap out of me because not only was I tired from all the long hours I have been pulling, but my left knee has recently joined up forces with the pain brigade of my right clavicles regiment and I dont feel very well at all. I told him no and shut the door on him. My first thought was who in the world tried to do yard work on Christmas Eve and then it hit me, it is Christmas Eve so he wasnt seeking work because he had nothing better to do with his time this evening, he had to. I was lucky enough to catch my err and holler at him before he drove off and did hire him along with his son to do some of my yardwork. I gathered up a couple sacks of food for them and gave him double what he asked for along with a Christmas bonus. They did a very outstanding and thorough job.
