Thank you McDonalds Vietnam! I got a phone call this morning Hello, are you Mark Young Christopher? (Christopher is my middle name). He then proceeded to tell me he had my camera. So I met him at the store at 10:30 and I explained that it had been missing since Monday. How it ended up in McDonalds I will never know - they went through the security tapes but couldnt find anything. I checked and everything seems to be here, then I turned the camera on and there was a strange problem - the LCD screen would not work, the controls either didnt work or worked strangely but autofocus was working and I could take a photo, but I couldnt see anything on the screen. After about 5 minutes, it all started working again. I thought maybe it had been stored somewhere very hot or very cold, but Guy said it had been in tbe Managers office which is air conditioned at 24C. Strange. At first I thought maybe I had come here for coffee and left it here, but I have racked by brains and I dont remember coming here, so Im thinking maybe they dropped it and thought it was broken, but how or why it ended up in McDonalds is a mystery. However, the final outcome is fantastic, I am so happy! I asked him how he found me. (I normally have a blue travel tag on the bag with my name & phone number, but it literally fell off on Monday!) He said he found an old receipt in the bag from 2012 that had my name on it. He tried to find me on facebook but couldnt (there are hundreds if not thousands of Mark youngs on FB) but he managed to find me on google+ and got my phone number from there. I did show him the little business card holder I keep in the bag, but in fairness, it just looks like a little black plsstic box. Thank you again McDonalds and you too Google+ By the way, Im buying a new padlock today and I will be locking the front doors, even if I am only out of the room for a few minutes! Karma, youve got to love it.
