Thank you, Melinda Miles! By the way, I had no idea this book would strike a chord with so many. I wrote Fabiola in a hotel room in Miami. I had asked the publisher to remove me from the list of authors, because my grandmother was dying in the hospital. The publisher believed in the story (Thank you, Wayétu Moore). She gave me permission to do a counting book. That little counting book is now changing more lives than we will ever know.
