Thank you, Nathan, for the invite to the group and hello to everyone else. I have a question/tentative theory Ive been pondering: Does it seem to anyone else like there really arent many serial killers anymore. All of the well known examples seem to be from the seventies and eighties. In fact, Im not sure I can think of an example of a really well known serial killer more recent that Jeffrey Dahmer, and that was almost twenty five years ago. The serial killer myth seems like its being kept alive primarily by movies and television shows like Criminal Minds. I havent really researched this yet, Im just kind of spit balling, but it seems like maybe the shadowy military/intelligence elements alluded to in PTK have moved on from this particular experiment. Also, does anyone think the reports in the last year of cannibalism in Florida likely tie in with all of this. Im having trouble buying the bath salts made them crazy argument. Thoughts??
