Wonderful Team and Experience We had a wonderful stay and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the Azura Benguerra team. The resort is beautiful, and the team is first class. The amount of effort that they put into the local community and into their guests is truly a difference maker. This is a group ahead of the curve in trying to put Mozambique on the map, while simultaneously remaining committed to the environment. They are doing all the right things, and if you recognize that every single item in your wonderful villa, and every course of each meal you enjoy was brought in by boat and carried by hand across the beach, it will make the experience that much more enjoyable. The location is truly pristine, the villas in wonderful shape (and built in collaboration with locals), the staff does everything in their power to make you satisfied, and the food is very good, given the remote location. The General Manager, Thomas, was even on the same flight back to Johannesburg, and offered to collect our luggage for us, and the other guests on the flight, when we ended up on the longer customs line. You wont get that at a large chain hotel! Finally, we wish nothing but the best to Faisel, Mylen, Prosper, and Carlos! We hope to stay in touch with the Rainbow Fund (which built the local school and was started by Azura ownership) and look forward to receiving the news letter.
