Thank you Regina Somers for the chat this morning and reminding me how far I have come as a person and a mom. In my lowest of low, Marcus and I were living with Regina, sharing a room and had nothing but what she and her family graciously provided. I was depressed and driven by selfishness because I didnt have a direction. I didnt know how to pull myself out of the hole I had put us in. Over the next few years I went through the loss of my father and FINALLY growing up. I have clawed tooth and nail to be a better person and provide for my child. That journey was SLOW and very up and down. I admit I lost my way a time or two but had a great person to help keep me on track (Regina :) ) My trip last week with Marcus was more than just a trip. It was something HE deserved, not me. All the sacrifice my family made over the last year in order for me to focus on my business had once again, come full circle. My parenting has matured and so have I. When you have truly been in a position of having NOTHING.....all the little things mean everything. An emotional mess today because feeling blessed is taking my breath away........
