Thank you SO much to everyone who contributed medical advice and encouragement/prayers today. You have no idea how much it meant to have a sounding board. I decided to go back to the doctor. My pinky is burned as far down as it can go before becoming a third degree burn. The ring finger above the knuckle up is burned almost as badly with far bigger blisters. The arm spasms and inability to move or feel my fingers is from the extensive nerve damage. UGH. A special thank you to Jason Joyner, Malachias Gaskin (for serving as an Army Combat Medic in Iraq!) and ER Nurse Staci Kelley for your incredibly helpful instructions; Jason Van Vooren for the spasm info; and Emanuel Agbozo for the medical school info. And to all of you who said go get re-checked... duh. Why didnt I do that in the first place? And to my essential oil lovers- My friend Francesca Battistelli is trying to get me on the essential oil kick. She hands that stuff out like candy!!! So all the essential oil lovers need to have a big party with Franny!!! She would be so happy to know so many of you are out there! I will keep you posted on my progress and am grateful for your prayers and encouragement. Did I mention that this hurts waaaay more than contractions-while on pitocin-with no epidural??? Because IT DOES.
