Thank you, State Attorney Phil Archer, for the privilege of assisting you counsel homeless veterans on their legal issues at the Stand Down Brevard held yesterday at the Disabled American Veterans facility in Titusville. One veteran (no longer homeless--this time volunteering) came up to me and told me how much I had helped him at the Stand Down in Cocoa earlier this year. Isnt it interesting that when you set out to help people, the reality is that THEY are the ones who are helping YOU. Anytime I have ever volunteered I have had the funny feeling that somehow in the end I got more than I gave.
