Thank you Susan Diskic. Continuing on from your last comment on yesterday Hendrix post, as far as Im concerned its obvious Jimi was murdered. Two associates/thugs of Jeffrey (there were rumors Jeffrey had links with either MI5 or the CIA) broke into Monica Dannemanns appartment & proceeded to funnel 4 bottles of red wine & several barbituates down Jimis throat. Much as they would have liked to, they couldnt kill Dannemann because now it becomes a murder case. Not only would Jeffrey kiss the insurance money goodbye, hed be the chief suspect. Dannemann was in all likelihood told open your mouth; youre dead! Professional killers have no conscience & many revel when it comes to putting the frighteners on. Needless to say the poor lady must have been terrified out of her wits. These vermin had just ended the life of the greatest musician in history. Who was she? A German figure-skater! Thats as good as being a nobody! She was probably told they wipe out her family too. What you can be sure of - the fear of God was put into her. And you can be sure too, for the next 26 years she was driven round the bend because just about everyone she ever met probably asked what really happened that night? If not this, Dannemann knew many felt she let Jimi down by not speaking out. Obviously Id have loved it if she pulled the plug on that wretched specimen Jeffrey but I understand why she didnt. Unfortunately, many others choose to think certain things without ever using their brain. Small wonder, though, Dannemann ended her own life in 1996. I tend to feel her death was a slow process lasting 26 years! Just to give you an idea of what a toe-rag manager Jeffrey was & show exactly what Jimi had to put up with, In 1969, the Hendrix Experience, in Jimis mind at least, was over. It had served its purpose. Jimi now wanted to move on. Being such a creative genius this is hardly surprising. Most musicians, especially the most successful ones, care about the money. Nothing wrong with that - it makes the world go round etc. With Jimi, music was the only thing that mattered. He was the highest paid act yet the band saw but a fraction of the colossal earnings. No wonder Jeffrey was able to siphon away lump after lump to the Bahamas; Jimi didnt care about money. Anyway, now Hendrix wants to experiment! Jeffrey, not content with having stolen millions, this vile, brainless cretin could only see his wonderful nest egg disappearing. Of course this wasnt the case AT ALL! Whatever Jimi did musically was bound to be brilliant - if not to one group of fans, it would be to the other! Being such a musical genius, it was a no lose situation! But this is how thick these people are - they cant see further than a dollar bill - greed blinds them. So in the summer of 69 Jimi is rehearsing for Woodstock. Jeffrey hears he will perform with a 7 piece band! Jeffrey must have done his nut because he sent two men to upstate New York, where Jimi was rehearsing. Once they made their presence felt they took out their guns & began firing rounds into a tree! Jimi would look out the window; theyd look up at him & then fire more bullets into the tree. Noel Redding confirmed - these bastards were sending Hendrix a chilling message! Some manager eh? Can you imagine how Jimi must have felt? Bad enough being threatened but this good-for-nothing scumbag was undermining his awesome creativity - for Jimi this must have felt gut-wrenching! Now...... what I find so incredible is after all this, how could Jimi even go on stage at Woodstock, let alone introduce a new band & close the show? Well, okay, the band wasnt so tight but for a debut gig, they were easily good enough. However, throughout the 2 hour 40 minute set, Jimis performance was something quite extraordinary. If you ever get the chance to watch it..... DO! He was simply incredible. https://youtube/watch?v=sjzZh6-h9fM
