The hometown barber shop is connected to the hometown mechanic The hometown mechanic is connected to the hometown dealership The hometown dealership is connected to the local donut shop The hometown donut shop is connected to the hometown gas station The home town gas station is connected to the hometown diners The home town diners are connected to the dollar store The dollar store is connected to the hometown grocery store The hometown grocery store is connected to the hometown boot store The hometown boot store is connected to the local FR store The local FR Store is connected to the hometown quick care The home town quick care is connected to the hometown doctor The hometown doctor is connected to the private local hospital The private local hospital is connected to the hotels The local hotel is connected to the oilfield And the Oilfield is connected to many of the jobs that have opened up in small town America. Not just oilfield jobs but the jobs in the diners, dollar store, grocery store, boot store, FR retailer, pharmacy, quick care, hospital, bakery, cleaning company, vehicle sales, mechanic shops, barber shops that opened or reopened to serve customers & families. So before you get all excited over gas prices, realize that a lot of Small Town Americas, will lose jobs, businesses, money, employees and possibly close up shop. Without oilfield patrons, they wouldnt have a need for many of the places in Small Town America. So, while youre happy about the cheap prices at the pump and maybe excited the horrible awful earth ruining oilfield folks will be out of a job- realize they are connected to a lot more than the oilfield. Their job provides not just for their family, but as a patron to hundreds of other business.
