Thank you USA TODAY -I just found out I share a birthday with actor Christian Bale among others…thank you for all of your birthday well wishes. Im in the UK, been here a couple of days, rehearsing and meeting other artists for Legends of Soul Tour -- I met Candi Staton earlier she looks and sounds fantastic. Much respect to legacy artists who can perform songs decades later beyond trend and survive youth (lol) as well as keep dedicated fans, survive industry politics, obstacles, etc, artistry, singing from your soul - spreading good vibes and providing happy moments for others and self… I feel BLESSED and joyful to continue to do what I love on these musical adventures, though I do miss MY band and crew here especially today-but thankful nevertheless, thankful for my life, career, two great children and their always telling me Youre the best Mom in the whole wide world --Youre the best Mommy - it makes difficult days easier and always puts life in perspective.
