Thank you Wendy Fowler Brooks for this today - I Needed EVERY SINGLE WORD of it! I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Psalm 40:1-3 God knows all of our pains and difficulties. Even when we feel like He isnt there, He is. When we sincerely seek Him, he will get us through the most depressing and hurtful time of our lives. The key words are waiting patiently and during that waiting period, we should study His Word, listen to His Word, surround ourselves by godly people, and so forth. This will give us the the strength to get through each day. When we turn to God and depend on Him to resolve our problems, we do it His way and not our own, we will see the power of God work in our lives and therefore, putting a new song in our mouths. That mourning will turn to joy and it will be all for Gods glory! Often we want to fix the problems ourselves, but when we give our problems to God and wait on Him, it will be well worth it. Our way of resolving things, might band-aid the problem or temporary fix it, but Gods way is the way that will take a horrible situation and use it to bring you more joy than you can imagine. He will pull you out of that pit, set your feet on a path that will be so much better than the one you were headed down! Surrender and wait!
