Thank you Xanthie, Tushar and Hiten for the nomination for the ALS ice bucket challenge. This social media campaign has been excellent in promoting awareness of the disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and encouraging donations for research. For those who don’t know, ALS is s a rapidly progressive, invariably fatal neurological disease that attacks the nerve cells responsible for controlling voluntary muscles.
