Thank you all for coming to the Poker Societies first event! We had 60 people turn up within the first half hour which is amazing. We had 8 eventual winners, First taking away 105 pounds! We were going to post up the top 8 but we lost our sheet of paper haha, we do have the top five though! In 1st place was Stuart Donnell 2nd - Wesley Barton 3rd - Andrea Utima 4th - Vojta Vrzal 5th - Marius Vinickis Forgive me if i havent got your name quite right, we were trying our best to remember after we lost the sheet of paper!! Just to remind you all, we start our league next week. On Mondays - we run the QMU league, it will start at 6 oclock and we probably will meet in, Committee Room 3, on the top floor. We currently have room for between 30 to 40 people. I say probably because I am going to ask the QMU to give us more room to accommodate the amount of new members we have. If we change rooms I will post here on this page and send an email around. On Wednesdays - we run the GUU league, it will start again at 6 oclock in the, Bridie Room. We have space to accommodate 60 people. Everyone is welcome to these events. We do have a membership fee of 3 pound if you want to be included in our league, but if you dont want to be in the league but still want to play, you are more than welcome to come along anyway. The benefits of joining our league is inclusion in our end of semester event, where the club will add money to the prize pool and the entrance price will be £10 so there will be huge prizes. You get regular updates of you place on a league table. And there maybe some other prizes thrown in for the winner.
