Thank you all for contributing your valuable suggestions as to why many people from developing nations opt to live in West. I tried to put the feed back into 3 buckets. All the good things that west has can be broadly because of good governance, strong institutions and good business friendly environment. Good governance 1) Decentralization of power 2) No cronyism, corruption and nepotism @common man level 3) Women security 4) Good toilets for women 5) Respect for laws (comes with strict law enforcement) 6) good basic amenities and cheap food (as many western nations dont depend on rain for farming) 7) High quality free education (under college) to kids 8) Overall high quality of life Good business friendly market (Business dont have to fear having to go through govt red tape) 1) better career opportunities 2) merit talent and hard work determine individuals success 3)Less competition as there are more companies 4) Dollar =64 rupees because of business friendly market. Result of good institutions including police and judiciary(accountability) 1) respect to individuals rights 2)Freedom
