Thank you all for joining us for a truly remarkable afternoon with living legend Congressman John Lewis along with co-author Andrew Aydin, and award-winning artist, North Little Rock native Nate Powell. Thank you to our partners Central Arkansas Library System, Arkansas Literary Festival, and UALR Institute on Race and Ethnicity for making this memory-making panel possible. We were also honored that Judge Olly Neal served as moderator. Judge Neal became Arkansas’ first African American District Prosecuting Attorney in 1991, and went on to be elected Circuit Judge. In 1996 he was appointed to the Arkansas Court of Appeals, where he served until his retirement in 2007.
