Thank you all for praying for our girl and for our family! We cherish every prayer and thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Each text, FB message, phone call and e-mail has been the encouragement we need just at the right moment! Good morning! Heres another update on Rachel Michaelis. Dr. Brookenthal came to visit us last night while in the hospital, as I mentioned before he is a wonderful Jewish man with a fantastic personality! As we greeted him and gave him a big thank you hug he asked us to not give him the credit for Rachels surgery but to direct our thanks to God, because, Yes, he went to medical school, and got good grades, but it is GOD that does the healing and God that directs his hands. Bill and my jaws just dropped, realizing how true it is that God is the one doing the healing. He mentioned to us that the surgery could not go any more perfectly, he was so blessed when Bill prayed over him before taking Rachel into OR. Because we prayed in Jesus Name we were afraid (after the fact) that we might have offended him, but he wasnt. He opened up his iphone and read to us his book of daily prayers, and read to us the prayer he read over Rachel in Hebrew while in surgery. The scripture he read was, He makes the crooked places straight... and then he went on to give us a teaching of the words crooked and straight in Hebrew and Bill and I are nothing more than absolutely blessed beyond measure! the LORD is Good!
