Thank you all for tagging me in the no make-up selfies for breast cancer awareness. While i admire the heart behind it, I have to say Im not going to participate. I dont think the bravery behind posting a no makeup selfie is anywhere near the bravery it takes to fight breast cancer or any cancer for that matter. I also think there are better ways to bring awareness to the cause. What if we all shared something actually ABOUT the cause and we flooded our facebook feeds with ways to donate, or something nice to do for someone who is currently fighting the fight to lift their spirits, build up their confidence, etc. I think that would make a lot more sense in my opinion! If you want to really do something to help bring awareness to cancer and do some good to it - make a donation to a cause! Im currently trying to get sponsors for the chemo bags for kids undergoing chemo treatments. Id rather see something like that .. or another worthy cause.. flooding my news feed instead of the no-makeup selfies.
