Thank you all for the concerns and prayers. Just thinking on the drive back from Columbia today that the next surgery will be the 6th attempt to repair this hole in the left eardrum since his 1st procedure February 22, 2013. Before the doctor saw Eli today we were in the room waiting and talking about what he wanted for Christmas and one thing he said was a New Ear not knowing the words he would hear a few short moments later. My heart sank for him when he asked if he really had to have surgery again. I know his little heart hurts every time that has been mentioned but know God has it all under control. I told him that who knows one day he may want to be an Ear Specialist Doctor who can help other kids who have to undergo the same problems. I know so many others have so many more sicknesses or problems going on in their lives and just remind myself that we are very fortunate for just these minor set backs.
