Thank you all for your patience with my posts time and again over the past several weeks for Christmas is for Caring (Denton State Supported Living Center), my pen sales for Serenity High in McKinney and book sales and signings. December has been, to say the least, a huge success for all three, and I am very grateful. Christmas is for Caring has been reestablished in the old format that everyone seemed to want. From all the residents at the Denton State Supported Living Center, thanks to WBAP and the fabulous WBAP listeners for giving it a wonderful second life. You made a HUGE difference in the lives of hundreds of residents. We appreciate you. Pen sales (my 18-year fundraising project for the McKinney Education Foundation/Serenity High in McKinney) were beyond any expectation. 200 pens made and sold in the past 4-1/2 weeks! That used to be a 2-year number. Thank you! And now to soak my hands. And books – what can I say? I’m humbled by your trust. I signed until my arm felt like it might fall off. And yes, a few mis-signs along the way. I have probably a dozen books that I’ll be putting on sale with book plates to cover my mistakes. Like my spelling of “Louise” without the “i”. No way to save it. So now I’ll get back to my Garden Tips. I’ll be posting a couple later this evening – suggestions sent to me by Certified Arborist Russell Peters of Arborilogical Services. Again, thank you!
