Thank you all for your prayers for Miranda...a update/catch up on whats going on...after getting admitted for 104 temp, girly girl pulled out her 2nd tooth later that day & child life gave her a Barbie tooth fairy to hold her tooth so the tooth fairy would find it & of course she did :). Night time her cough wasnt good so they gave her air to help but it didnt. Next day wasnt good, she had to have blood transfusion & her 103 fever wouldnt break even with meds. They heard more raspiness in her lungs so another xray was done. Coughing & breathing was hard so she was put on oxygen to help. All her meds where switched around & she was put on some more intense meds, one of them made her pee every 5secs (so it seemed)to get rid of fluids. A CAT scan was done to get a better look at her lungs...pneumonia in both lungs :(. She almost ended up in the ICU & with a respiratory throat culture with a possible breathing tube buttt she did a wonderful turn around for the better & didnt end up in ICU or having to have a culture done. Her ANC went from 2,000 on Monday to 980 on Wednesday to 280 on Thursday, 0 on Friday & back up to 260 today (500 & above is what they would like to see). Her fever has gone a way & the oxygen hasnt been needed. She does have to do breathing exercise with a respiratory therapist & on her own. Although she is doing better then what she was she still has a recovery & will remain in the hospital up to 14-21 days.
