Thank you all for your thoughts & prayers! We stayed in recovery for 3 hours- finally got some fluids down...may or may not have tricked her but they said I had to make her drink! Dr. Said she did great and not a lot of bleeding which is good! He said her adenoids were HUGE and it was a wonder she could breathe through her nose much at all. They almost blocked her entire nasal cavity. Her ears had a ton of the glue like fluid & is optimistic that the tubes will clear them out. Her hearing should be back to normal (our normal anyway) very soon! She got to bring her tonsils home in a jar- anyone one for mini hotdogs?? Its heart wrenching watching her try to swallow but the more she is able to drink the better it gets- not looking forward to the morning :/ You know how it is when you wake up with a sore throat ICK!! We went to get her prescriptions filled and her ear drops were $157 AFTER INSURANCE! The tech asked us if they gave us a discount coupon...nope. My Mom asked the tech if she had one in there LOL! They did! It took $100 off!! Lesson learned ALWAYS ASK IF THEY HAVE A DISCOUNT COUPON!! She then wanted to go to Target to pick out her surprise- and it was ALL Doc McStuffins. Backpack, lunchbox & super soft throw along with a few other goodies thanks to Mimi & Pop Pop :) Back home and its another battle to get the pain meds down but 30 minutes later she devoured FOUR peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! Thats a miracle in itself! I think Grandma Kims warm jello trick really helped! Thanks again for all your prayers & a HUGE thank you to Grandma Kim & Papa Terry for making this happen so quick! I know we arent out of the woods yet but any smiles I can get I will take :)
