Thank you all so much for your concern for our puppy trio, Leon, Puddy, and Pancake. We have received so many inquiries as to how the little pups are progressing in their physical therapy, and we thank you all for your thoughts. We need your thoughts and prayers now more than ever.... Leon, Puddy, and Pancake had such a rough start in life and were neglected terribly in their former home. Their immune systems were already compromised due to improper nutrition and various other forms of neglect, prior to being brought into our AHS Newark facility. The pups started with mild kennel cough a few days ago, but due to their weakened state, their conditions deteriorated rapidly into pneumonia. We transferred them immediately from Pet PT in Cherry Hill, to North Star Vets in Robbinsville, where they are receiving excellent medical treatment and can be monitored around the clock, but are in an intensive care situation. We are very happy to report that little Leon has shown improvement already and will be going back to stay with his foster mom, a veterinary technician from Pet PT, shortly, to resume his physical therapy. Puddy and Pancake are far from out of the woods, and will need further specialty care at North Star Vets. We ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. We cant thank you all enough for your support of our puppy trio since we first told you of their arrival only a short time ago. These puppies had a difficult road ahead of them, just dealing with their Swimmers Syndrome and other orthopedic issues, and now they have this to overcome. Although this should never have happened to three innocent, beautiful, little pups, we are just glad that they came to us, where they will be given every possible chance to survive, and live full, happy lives.
