Thank you all so very much for your greetings on my Birthday. All read, all loved, including the ones pointing to a bit of grey hair...have you never heard of dark-blonde with a touch of steel? Your words were much needed, Im going through very tough days! We are celebrating our birthdays in Dubai (Célines was a week ago) with the One and Only at the One&Only. And the things we are exposed to here!! Holy Mozzarella!! First, this morning, I was completely unable to tell the shampoo from the body wash in the hotel room!! Who will tell those bleeding designers that print-sizes above 6 points is ok on bottles in bathrooms? They should be doomed to washing hair in body-lotion for a week! Maybe longer. Then, after lunch, a German family invaded our little private pool-area. Mr Vorsprung durch Tecknik, Mrs Lautsprecher and their innocent (but fairly horrible) toddlers Horst and Hermann took occupancy in our lovely little nest, bringing on all of their noisy lack of charm. I met Mr. Vorsprung in the gym before dinner, doing his 15 kilo hand-weights. I grabbed the 20 kilo version and did twice as many as him whilst singing along to the vicious lyrics of Afu-Ra (youtube/watch?v=xGXMU_DrQow). Revenge is a dish best eaten cold! Downside is, he can lift his glass tonight. I cant, arms malfunctioning. Well, you get the picture. Tough days. Massive challenges in my life. Apart from your lovely greetings, I was so happy for my presents this morning. A box of licorice (gone) and the 2014-version of World in Figures from Economist (always loved it). Miss Agatha, 6, who digests books faster than you spell enthusiasm, stole it after a few seconds and started reading out names of countries, biggest producers of copper (Chile) and that sort of stuff. She also guessed, correctly, that China is the Worlds biggest producer of tea. Her mother had the 3 following countries on that list correct (India, Sri Lanka, Kenya). Thats when I asked for one more coffee. Agatha even sang for me: Happy Birthday to You Put your head in the Loo, I know its dis-gus-ting but its healthy for you! Whats not to like? Thank you all, you are the best Facebook friends ever. And sorry for the long post, I did not have time to make it any shorter. (PS: Some of you asked if there will be a repeat of the friends-and-family get-together in Copenhagen this summer. Of course there will! Last Friday before Roskilde Festival. Friday 27th of June. Stay tuned.)
