Thank you all your nice, humorous, and supportive comments. It was truly warming. (Dan was a GREAT partner, but not the best to cuddle up to for warmth. ;-) ) As I mentioned, it was certainly cold, and the snow did really come down, but despite the conditions, it was amazing out there - an experience bar none. Of course it is not for everyone, but if you are inclined, Id certainly encourage it. What was even more awesome, was seeing Dan experience it for the first time. Ive had many such opportunities under the same conditions, as past partners can attest. But I love it when I can give someone else that unique experience. Dan has canoe tripped many times, including with me, but never under these conditions. He is hooked. Winter-esque canoe trip anyone? There is so much beauty and amazing experiences to be had in all seasons. Hope you all take the time to discover them in a canoe too!
