Thank you and congratulations to all of the neighborhood volunteer leaders who organized tonights 22 block parties for National Night Out. Spending the evening with neighbors in casual community-spirited get-togethers makes this one of my favorite nights of the year. This is what makes a community real, makes it safe, and makes it mean something. I made it to 18 of the block parties and every single one was a big success with great participation, fun, food, and neighborliness. Thanks for the hospitality!
