Thank you everyone for your love and concern. Richard Weter, the answer to your question is that my sinus situation had nothing to do with my eventual kidney infection, except that my immune system became compromised and I guess this kidney thing took the opportunity to come in. I didnt recognize that it was a kidney infection because I thought it was a sinus infection, which delayed my seeking treatment. The stomach ache and back ache seemed like the flu. Since I had the flu shot, I was just pissed off it wasnt working. Well, it WAS working. Fever and chills with violent teeth rattling shivering is what sent me to urgent care. I cant say enough good things about Coxhealth Urgent care. The doctors and nurses were the best. Moral of the story is to get to the doctor as quick as you can if you have a fever. Im hoping the antibiotics work so I dont have to go to be admitted. (Original post: 4/15 Got past those wretched sinus problem, only to wake up with a fever, chills, nausea. Bryan took me to CoxHealth urgent care, where I was diagnosed with a kidney infection, given an antibiotic shot in the hip and a prescription. If I dont see improvement in three days Im to go to the actual emergency room for admission. Cripes!0
