Thank you everyone who will be reading this Post. I like to inform on da proactive action da Ombudsman Commission of PNG is now doing to make people of PNG aware of what kind of leaders they should choose/vote. Though investigations has been going but OC had no jurisdiction to do more than it can do. Like criminal case oc has no power to investigate so anything to do wit criminal such as fraud is refer to police. As result da OCPNG has taken an approach called Good Leadership Awareness. It started from 2010 to dis date. So this is what yu should know about yur leader before voting them to represent yu in the parliament. People can think dat every citizen rights to contest n be apointed to Public Offices, the people took it for granteed that leadership in goverment was natural and dat anyone can take up the post or be elected to hold dat post. The OCPNG found da there are six MAIN QUALITIES of a good leadership or a leader should possess before elected. 1. Intergrity 2. Accountability 3. Transparency 4.Servitude 5. Probity 6. Fairness. He or she must possess this to become a leader. Second n most important thing OCPNG has identfied is we have two cultures. Da Melanesian and Westminister leadership. Melanesian leadership of tailored more in free handouts,favouritims,nepotism/wantok system n other negative qualities a person possess to occupy or appointed to public office in contrary to the qualities a person needeed to possess to occupy a public office in the Westminister system of governent. There is more to say but I end here. Plis educate ur people about good qualities of a leader in order to choose a good leader who can firmly deliver like other members are doing.
